These next two are her "Stop with the comedy routine, Sister, I can't breathe!" She thinks Lily is really hilarious! Lily can make her laugh until there is no sound but little gasps of air coming out.
Her "playing dress-up" consists of some sort of hat and heels or boots. A pretty dress rarely makes it into the equation. The only shirt she'll sleep in right now is this Mickey Mouse shirt or her panda bear shirt.
She has always been a puzzle queen. At 2 1/2, she is up to 25 piece puzzles. Sometimes she will sit down and do the same one 15-20 times in a row. Here she is teaching Doggybear how to put together the Dora puzzle.
Here is Kate in some boxing gloves. Until this month, I really thought Kate was the sweetest baby ever created. She hardly ever pitched a fit. She seemed to defer to Lily in arguements. If you even looked at her with disapproval, she would stop what she was doing. I was always feeling the need to protect her. Well, this month, she finally became a normal 2 year old with LOTS of opinions and an ability to fight back.
Weighing in at only a half pound less than her sister, she is still a pokey eater and not much for sweets. Here she is sticking a sucker in her hair. She'll keep the same sucker for a week. Of course, this drives Lily crazy since she eats hers immediately and then wonders why her sister still has one and she doesn't.
She gets stuck on one subject and STAYS there. Below is a photo from the Veggie Tales stage and a more current one from the Cinderella stage. I think I listened to that Veggie Tales CD 5,754 times and the Princess one 4,678 times. When I go to a toy store, I find a ton of things that Kate would love. She is so easy to buy for since she has such strong passions. This is one of the most interesting differences between the girls to me. Kate is a "player." She finds all games and toys really fun. She is always ready for a good laugh. Lily would rather you sit and talk to her like a little adult...as if she is 2 going on 12. Kate makes 2 years old really funny and seems to enjoy every part of being 2.

oh, that is so interesting.. i think i remember reading in one of your earlier posts that Lily was the gentle twin...how personalities change, huh? your girls are gorgeous =)

Hi Jennifer, Phil, Lily and Kate,
Just wanted to let you know we are still faithfully following along with the adventures of Lily and Kate. Our girls get so excited to see new photos. Lily and Kate are so precious and beautiful, and are growing up so fast! Often I will overhear Maddie and Bella taking "the twins, Lily and Kate" to the park, the store, etc. Thank you for continuing your blog. It brings us all such joy! These girls are so cute, you'd think they were Eddins kids! We can't wait for them to teach our two year old how to play princess and stick suckers in her hair!
